Hush Sound Systems are a professional sound hire company specialising in DJ based events. Our services range from small bar and party sized rigs up to those for larger parties, outdoor gigs and full sized festivals.

Our equipment is of the highest standard and we pride ourselves on the audio quality of our work, with our trained technicians delivering the best sound and best spl’s (sound pressure levels) possible!

Hush Sound Systems hold a full inventory of equipment from compact packaged PA and lighting systems for a private party, through to full stage sound reinforcement, staging and lighting for larger corporate events.

Our lighting department can supply anything from a simple set of par cans to a full lighting rig. Why not add some mood lighting to your event space by colour washing the walls with up lighting, or a full on lighting design with a lighting engineer on site to operate.

Event Production

We offer a complete technical event production service from conception through to completion – from the initial brief and site meeting, design and costing, through to the planning and organisation, and final delivery of the technical production element of your event – ensuring you’re involved and kept informed at all stages.

Whatever the event, from a formal conference to a corporate party or reception, a fashion show or wrap party, to a live performance, an awards night or a private marque function, we can provide most sizes of PA and lighting system, staging, the latest DJ equipment, AV solutions and much more.

Solutions include sound and lighting systems, DJ equipment, plasma screens, projectors, LED video walls – as well as skilled technicians to set-up and operate all the equipment – so you can focus on hosting your event.

With the benefit of informal and personal advice that draws on over 30 years of experience and our considerable expertise and skill in designing and implementing technical production, we are ideally placed to bring stunning creativity and innovation to any event.

The events team offers professional technical expertise to ensure that all aspects of our involvement run smoothly, and your event is delivered on time and on budget – and exceeds expectations.

Equipment

All the equipment we use is of the professional type so we will not compromise your events sound with budget/home equipment. We can supply all the top of the range DJ kit including:

  • Technics 1210/1200 Turntables
  • Pioneer CDJ 1000’s and 2000 Nexus
  • Pioneer Mixers (800/900 Nexus)
  • Allen and Heath Mixers

We can also supply semi-pro equipment for your house party, so if you need a simple CD/Mixer set-up, we can supply it. Our speaker and amplifier systems range from a simple E.V. style two speakers on stands, with amplifier right up to a Function-One Club/tour system. Please contact us for further details.

Maintenance

PAT testing – As anyone who has tried to use a council owned venue will tell you, all of your electrical equipment needs to be certified for use by a trained tester. This is known as PAT testing (Portable Appliance Test). As you would expect, all the equipment we use is certified by our own in house tester but we also offer the service to you, for your equipment.

What needs to be tested? Any item that plugs into a mains electrical socket. So all your decks, amps, mixers, cross-overs, EQ units, CD players, lights/FX & controllers need to be certified and then re-tested every year, for as long as it is used. As many more venues, halls, and now events demand that only PAT tested equipment is used, it would be a wise decision to have your kit tested and certified by our PAT tester.

Hush Sound Systems reserve the right to use a third party testing company if our own tester is not available on the dates required.

Maintenance Contracts – We also offer maintenance contracts for your bar or club. Inspections and servicing of equipment are carried out on a monthly basis according to the client’s wishes.
